Albert House and Bridge House are small, family-run homes. You are not one of thousands of employees. The residents know your name, and so do we.
OUR CULTURE
A small, family-run team.
Albert House has been run by the same family since 1995. Bridge House is run the same way: family-owned, not investor-owned, with no plans to change that. Staff tend to stay for years, and that stability shows in how calm and settled both homes feel. You get to know residents properly, because you are not moved between different settings every few weeks.
Both homes are independently inspected by the CQC, and the reports are published in full. What you see when you visit is what is actually happening day to day, not a version put on for show.
TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT
Support to do the job well, and to grow in it.
New starters are given the training and shadowing time they need before working unsupervised. Nursing and care staff keep their mandatory training up to date, and there are opportunities to build skills in dementia care, palliative care and nursing practice as your role develops. If you want to progress, whether that means taking on more responsibility or working towards a nursing qualification, we will talk with you about what that looks like.
STABILITY AND SUPPORT
Consistent leadership, and people who back you up.
Both homes have clear, stable management, so you always know who to go to. Rotas are built around real staffing levels rather than being stretched thin, and there is always someone senior on hand for advice on a difficult situation. We would rather you asked a question than guessed.
